Space for grief in its own time

After a loss, you may need someone to listen without expecting you to feel better or move on. I offer time to talk about the person or life you have lost, and how things are for you now.

Your experience

What this can feel like

Experiences vary. You may recognise some of these, or your experience may look different.

01

Sadness that comes in waves

02

Numbness, anger, guilt or relief

03

Changes in identity and routine

04

Feeling alone even with people around

05

Anniversaries or reminders that bring grief back

06

Pressure to move on before you are ready

Making sense of a pattern

Grief is not a straight line

The relationship with someone or something lost can remain meaningful as life changes. There may be days of connection and days of sharp pain. We can make room for that complexity rather than measure your grief against a schedule.

How therapy can help

I will follow your pace. You can talk about your loss, sit with difficult feelings or discuss the everyday things that have become harder.

01

Tell the story

Speak about the person, relationship or change in whatever way feels possible.

02

Make room for feelings

Explore contradictory feelings without judgement.

03

Live alongside loss

Consider what support, meaning and connection can look like now.

In more depth

Understanding your experience

More than a symptom

Loss may include a death, a relationship, health, a role or a future you expected. Each has its own context and there is no single correct response.

What change might look like

A shift may be the freedom to remember, speak openly, accept support or carry the loss with a little less isolation.

There is time to talk about your loss and what it means to you.
