Kink & BDSM-Affirming Counselling

A space where your sexuality can be understood

I offer a place to talk openly about kink, BDSM and relationships without judgement. You may want to explore consent, boundaries, shame or something unrelated to your sexuality. I will follow what you want help with.

Your experience

What this can feel like

You may recognise some of these experiences. We can begin with what matters most to you.

01

Shame or judgement

Worrying that your interests will be misunderstood.

02

Disclosure

Deciding what to share with a partner or someone close to you.

03

Different desires

Navigating differences in interests, expectations or limits.

04

Consent and boundaries

Finding language for what feels wanted, manageable and safe.

05

Roles and identity

Feeling pressure to fit a particular role or community expectation.

06

Difficult experiences

Making sense of hurt, a crossed boundary or feelings that remain.

Making sense of things

Your experience deserves curiosity and care

Consensual kink and BDSM can be meaningful parts of sexuality and relationships. In therapy, we can explore what they mean to you, with attention to autonomy, consent and emotional wellbeing.

We can also take distress, coercion or boundary violations seriously. You can bring uncertainty about an experience without needing to decide in advance how to describe it.

Working together

How therapy can help

You can talk about your interests and relationships without having to defend them. We can look at consent, boundaries and anything that is causing you difficulty.

01

Compassion

Create room for your interests and feelings without judgement. Explore shame, stigma and the wish to be understood.

02

Curiosity

Consider desire, consent, trust, power and relationship expectations. Explore the difference between what you choose and what you feel pressured to accept.

03

Change

Practise clearer boundaries and communication. Work with difficult experiences at your pace and consider what supports your wellbeing.

What change might look like

More confidence in your own boundaries

Change may mean speaking about a need, setting a limit, understanding a difficult experience or feeling less alone with an important part of yourself.

Your questions

A little more about this work

Will my interests be treated as a problem?

We can explore consensual interests with respect. The focus is your wellbeing and the concerns you bring.

Can I discuss a difficult or non-consensual experience?

Yes. We can take your experience seriously and work gently with its impact. You do not need to share every detail at once.

Can I come on my own about a relationship issue?

Yes. Individual counselling can help you explore communication, boundaries and your own needs in a relationship.
