What would you like to talk about?
You may be comfortable with being gay and want support with something entirely different. Or you may be questioning, coming out, navigating rejection or trying to make sense of experiences that still hurt. We can begin with what matters to you.
Room for what matters to you
Coming out, on your terms
Explore whether, when and how to share your sexuality, considering your relationships, culture, safety and own wishes.
Relationships and intimacy
Make space for closeness, trust, desire, dating, boundaries and the relationship agreements that work for you.
Shame and self-worth
Explore the effect of criticism, rejection or messages that made you feel you had to hide parts of yourself.
Community and belonging
Talk about loneliness, friendship, body image, expectations within communities or feeling that you do not fit.
Family, faith and culture
Consider the different parts of your life together, without assuming that one identity must replace another.
Life beyond sexuality
Anxiety, depression, bereavement, work pressures and life changes are equally welcome in our conversations.
You deserve to be understood as a person, beyond assumptions about your sexuality.
Connection without losing yourself
Dating, relationships and community can bring joy, uncertainty and pressure. Therapy gives you room to reflect on what feels right for you, rather than follow someone else’s picture of how a gay man should live.
We can explore boundaries, patterns of closeness and distance, and the difference between seeking reassurance and finding a connection that meets your needs.
Understanding, at your pace
A place to speak freely
I will listen to what is troubling you without making assumptions about being gay. You can talk about difficult experiences, or simply about the things happening in your life.
Understanding your experience
We can explore how past experiences, relationships or other people’s expectations affect you now. I want to understand what these mean to you.
Changes we can work towards
We can work on the things you want to be different, whether that involves a relationship, a boundary, confidence or coping with difficult feelings.
Before we begin
Do I need to talk about being gay?
No. Your sexuality can be central, part of the background or unrelated to why you are seeking counselling. We will follow your priorities.
Can I come if I am questioning my sexuality?
Yes. You do not need a settled label. We can explore your experience without steering you towards a particular identity.
Can we discuss sex openly?
Yes. There is space for consensual sexuality, intimacy and concerns about behaviour, without assumptions about your preferences or relationships.
Keep exploring
